Registration for full day Kindergarten in Surrey began this week. Starting in September all schools in Surrey will have full day kindergarten. If your children turn 5 before January 1st 2012 then they are eligible to start school in September. In order to register, parents need to bring their child's birth certifcate, parents identification (birth certificate, passport or permanent residency card) and property tax assessment or utility bill to prove residency. I see this as a positive move by the Surrey school board, and will relieve parents of the need for full daycare.
